COLOR GRADING

Grade your project in our spacious and client-friendly DI theater. Our professionally calibrated DLP projector guarantees accuracy across a range of a devices. Whether you're color correcting an indie film, a Netflix show, or an Instagram video, our huge screen provides a luxurious canvas for your creative team to scrutinize and enhance your images. 

We custom built a powerful machine to run DaVinci Resolve, capable of grading even 8K RED RAW footage in real time. We can pile on special effects such as film emulation or 35 mm grain, all without having to wait on renders. 

VISUAL EFFECTS

Dungeon Beach has an in-house roster of Nuke, Flame, Fusion, and After Effects artists. We offer green screen keying, compositing, rotoscoping, match moving, paintout, cleanup, animation, and film titling services.

ONLINE EDITING & CONFORMING

We take your project to the finish line, marrying final sound and color in an edit timeline, layering in GFX, subtitles, and credits. We export and quality control to spec, whether it's ProRes masters or H.264 for web and social, IMF for Netflix, or DCP.  

DCP MASTERING

Create and watch your Digital Cinema Package at Dungeon Beach. Our fully compliant CRU drives have screened at the likes of TIFF and SXSW in flawless 5.1 surround sound, in both 2K and 4K. We are proud to offer competitive pricing and the opportunity to watch down your DCP in our surround sound theater, so you can breathe easy during your festival screening.

AUDIO MIXING

Mix your project in our spacious, comfortable, professionally tuned 5.1 surround sound stage. Our room’s acoustics have translated perfectly to theaters of all different sizes, from the intimate Nitehawk to the cavernous TIFF Bell Lightbox. For TV and web projects, we can toggle in real time between stereo studio speakers and “laptop-quality” speakers, ensuring the fidelity of your volume and EQ choices across a range of listening scenarios.

FOLEY 

Amplify the impact of your soundtrack with on-site recordings in our acoustically treated live room. Equipped with Foley pits and noise-making toys, our artists delight in recreating punches, door slams, gravelly footsteps, clothing rustle, zombie growls and meows (!) to help tell your story. Our 600-square foot live room— uniquely spacious for NYC—can accommodate loop groups of up to two dozen actors.

ADR & VOICE-OVER

Capture crystal-clear narration in one of our noise-isolated recording booths. Or retake lines that were muffed on set with time-coded video assist. Our technicians will combine lavalier and boom microphones, then work EQ magic so the new recording sits invisibly in the mix.

Record talent remotely using Source-Connect, Skype or ISDN. Dungeon Beach is a secure studio with a discrete entrance—ideal for high-touch talent. We’re halfway between Silvercup and Steiner studios—in the heart of upscale, residential Williamsburg. Our Source-connect technicians have collaborated with Paramount and Universal on everything from NCIS to the Transformers franchise.
